Title: Series 1 1976 jack operation problems
Post by: jon_ridel on August 25, 2015, 05:56:26 AM
I own 76-434 and have had a quarter inch stereo to mono lead made as per the recommended way
But I find I get a weird issue where there's hardly any bridge pickup output, no sweep control on the bridge pickup and the two volumes interact rather than acting as two individual volume pots
I can't see anything obviously wrong so am stuck
Can any of you good people help me ?

Does it behave the same way with the 5-pin output?

Hi Mica,
Sorry for the delay
Yes it does.

Bridge pickup has gone a little micro phonic too (neck one is fine)
The down position q switch has also lost its extreme range, any ideas what is going on ?

Thanks as always, if it's bad news ,please break it to me gently with costs
The pound is not plummeting as I speak !
