Title: Original hardware: Gotoh or Schaller or both?

Hi, I have seen some Alembics (usually Spoilers or Persuaders, as they are more in my price range  ) with Gotoh tuning machines and some with Schaller tuning machines. My '83 Spoiler for example came with Schallers. I am wondering if there was one brand that Alembic used originally and if some tuners have just been swapped out over the years, or was there an option of Gotoh or Schaller? BTW, does anyone favor one brand over the other? Just curious...Thanks,

At first we used all Schaller tuners. In the mid eighties, we switched to Gotoh. Both are fine machines. You can custom order with just about any available machine head you prefer.
