Title: Avatars???...
Post by: keavin on February 03, 2006, 10:23:49 AM
Is it possible that one day in the near future  on this site we'll be able post a small avatar/small-pic  or under our user names?.

I'm not planning that feature at this time. You can post a picture in your profile now if you like.

Fair Warning! I'm about to climb on my soapbox again!
No offence Kev, or to anyone else for that matter, but have you ever been to Talk Bass.com? Some people post some of the stupidest pictures under their names thinking that they're what? clever? witty? original? (annoying? Ha! that's the word I'm after!) and generally alot of the postings are not much better. Placing cute little animated GIF's under our names just reminds me too much of so many mindless posts and posters on that site. Sorry, I don't mean to sound elitist or snobby, it's just that I enjoy the things and people that make this club special and I wouldn't change a thing.
Sorry, had a rough day at work. I'll stop ranting now.

I agree JLP! No one wants to see my ugly mug, though my Alembics are beautiful.

Avatar? That name remindes me of a 1976 thick bodied Les Paul looking thing that had wired frets multipined into a synthesizer. skillions of fragile (and noisy) little faders. I remember it could make a simple 6 string sound so sick. And of course the synt. broke leaving you a Les Paul copy. Loved the seventies!   Michael S.
