Hi there. I just bought an used lefthand MK standard. It sounds amazing but I can not balance it. What do I do wrong?

Hi Oivind, welcome and congrats. Many of the members here who have long scale basses with standard point bodies just use a wide strap to keep the neck from diving. Perhaps if some of the guys see this thread they will make some recommendations.

Yes, a wide suede-bottomed strap will solve most of your problems. A member here who plays Small Standards pretty much exclusively (a design noted for its' diving neck) has a technique of applying downward pressure from his plucking-hand forearm to the body's upper bout. I've found this to be pretty effective in controlling dive and non-intrusive to my technique.

Hi again
Thanks for all the help. I found out that if I wear the bass like Mark King (under the armpit) it almost balances. I forgot to mention! The bass has a Omega cut. I will post pictures as soon as possible.

Welcome and greetings from a fellow lefty! We have a good number of us in the club now.
A lefty Mark King? Wow, I wish I had found that!
Like Mike said, Pictures please! I too owe pictures of my Orion, a good project for this weekend. Welcome Ladyboy.
