Hello all! First, it is absolutely great that the people at Alembic are supporting such a nice community forum. Having owned an Alembic as well as having been involved with Internet for well over 10 years now, I can't understand how I didn't join before. But never too late.
I'd like to get the birthday and other facts for my beloved bass. My history with her (or is it him?) began in a Finnish bass guitar shop in the early 90's. I guess I was the first actual owner, as I had been playing with it for many times, waiting for the opportunity. Then it came, when the shop closed business and was selling all stock with half price. My only regret is, that I did not have the extra $1000 for the Series I (as I recall), but a Persuader 32 for $1500 was not bad either.
OK, I have also another regret. Relatively short time after, the neck mic volume started making excess noises, and I took my Alembic to a small town music shop for fixing. And they replaced the original Alembic control with a standard one, so now it is not full Alembic electronics anymore Still sounds good anyway.
So, could I please hear all about the 4308th Alembic Bass made in the USA? Once I have the opportunity, I'll upload some pictures to Showcase.

Welcome Jyrki! When Mica or Val get a chance to scan through the posts they will get the build info for you.

Hi Jyrki and welcome to the club, it's never too late to join in with the excellent discussions on here.
If you ask Mica, Alembic might be able to replace the non-original electronics and restore your persuader to it's former glory.

Hey Jyrki, welcome to the club. Alembic numbers all their instruments sequentially, both basses and guitars, so there were actually quite a few less basses than 4307 made prior to yours. Enjoy your bass and don't forget to post some pictures!
