For anyone interested, Roger has some fine Burl Buckeye at his shop, and fixed me up very nicely last week with a new set of knobs. I had visions of fancy inlays everywhere, but Roger said no, that he would hate to interrupt the swirls in the Buckeye, and I'm glad I listened. Smart man, that Roger, and damn talented, too.
More pics in the Showcase section, if you're so inclined. (http://club.alembic.com/Images/393/10097.jpg)

Wow. I am amazed by Buckeye burl over and over again. Beautiful. Roger was right. The less the visual flow of the buckeye is interrupted, the better. I've noticed that sometimes I like to look at pictures of the back of BB basses more than the fronts, because there is more uninterupted burl.

Cris,
At the risk of sounding pornographic, they are some damn nice knobs! They blend beautifully with that stunning buckeye burl top.
