Question: Which came first, this one or Mr Cassady's alembic?
-
Jack Casady's bass came before this one.
-
Jack's came before all others; it was 72-001, the first Alembic. Phil's was, I think, about 2 years later.

I've often wondered if they were started at around the same time. What with the sequence numbers being close. I can understand why Phil's took a couple years to finish.

Jack’s bass eventually found it's way back to him in 2001.

Last I heard, the person who currently has that bass does check in here but wished to remain anonymous.
I've got a few of 72-001 from a couple years ago but they are FB rips from an article I read a few years ago... I don't know if it's appropriate to repost here. They're probably still publicly viewable. I'm not on Facebook but I can see some artist pages.
*I posted a link in the Showcase Thread for #72-001.
