Obviously I love the brand, and own two Alembic basses.
I have a Martin D-15M (mahogany) acoustic, and I am exploring options for a pickup.
The acoustic sound is what I’m after. Does Alembic have a solution?
I’d prefer not to heavily modify the guitar.
Thanks for your input!

I don’t believe Alembic makes an acoustic pickup, (yet). The K&K Pure Mini gets a lot of love in previous discussions on the topic.

Thanks Bill. How do we coax Alembic to make an acoustic electronics package?

John probably installs more K&K minis than anything else at the store I do repair work for. They sound good, and relatively simple. The key to them sounding right is placement. That's the real trick. John has a jig for locating them on the bridgeplate for optimal transfer.
Secondary to that, but requires more installation, the LR Baggs Duet. I personally think it sounds better, but don't care for all the onboard equipment.
I has a D-15 M a while back. I sold it and kept a 000-15 SM instead. No pickups in either one. I love the warm, mellow mahogany sound. I also polished the satin finish out to semi-gloss on mine.
