Mica and gang,
Years ago I saw on this forum a very short scale bass, maybe in the 27/28” scale range.
Do you recall this faint memory or did I dream this? It’s a goal of mine to have such a bass made.
Does anyone have pictures?
Thank you!
Rodney

I can't remember now why I asked her about it Rodney, but I asked her the same thing a few years ago...
Here's the FTC on the "Shorter-Scale Bass"...

There is a small handfull of EVH Signature builds in extra short scale, like these:
EvH Piccolo Bass (https://club.alembicguitars.com/index.php?topic=8785.0)
Custon 2006 EVH 28" Scale (https://club.alembicguitars.com/index.php?topic=24596.0)
And two Reverb listings:

YES! It’s the one from ed’s link! What a beauty.
I guess it’s time to contact Mica…
Thank you, guys! Much appreciated.

I had forgotten about that little EvH piccolo bass too. Cool thing there. I still can't remember why I was interested in the shorter-than-short-scale. Just remember that I was. At one point I simply wasn't able to stand up and play bass anymore so that may have been the reasoning. Eventually I bought an Ibanez 'parlor bass' to play during recovery/rehab from surgery, and that led to eventually modifying a Martin Dreadnought cutaway guitar to a bass. Basically a 25-1/2" scale. It works, but you really have to rethink everything on string gauges and lengths, action.
I'd love to try a 28" scale bass guitar at standard pitch.
