Title: DS5 Bodypack
Post by: Joostpeters on November 01, 2025, 07:08:12 AM
Hi Everyone, I'm using an original body pack power supply by Alembic for my Series 1. Now one of the resistors (for the front pickup signal) is broken. If I meassure the resistance it reads 18.2K Ohm. Is this correct? And how many Watts should it be able to handle? Thanks for your help! Joost Peters, The Netherlands

Hey Joost,

Welcome!  Yes that's probably correct - brown-grey-red-red would be 18.2k.  I'm sure you know the resistors are simply there to sum the stereo signal to mono and can be any value near 20k.  (10k or 22k would also work.)  But they should be the same value so it doesn't alter the balance of the two signals.  If you have any trouble finding 18.2k you could replace them both with a matching pair.  1/4-watt is plenty.

Hope that helps.

Thank you JimmyJ and thank you for your quick reply.  That's exactly the info I needed.
