Oh no. Brand new Skylark. The LEDs turned on when I was at the factory on Wednesday. I haven't had a chance to plug it in until today and they don't turn on. The audio works fine and sounds great. I'll try new batteries tomorrow.

Yea, new batteries are step #1. I’ve eaten up batteries by inadvertently leaving the LEDs on more than once in the eighteen years I’ve owned my Custom Further, “Woody”. And with four 9v batteries, it wasn’t cheap until I started using rechareables.

i use rechargeables for the leds and have on a couple of occasions used one of them when my main battery for the bass was low.

Thank you for the replies.

Problem solved. When taking off the batteries, I discovered the black wire wasn't attached to one of the connectors. I touched it to the spot and the lights went on. I'll have to re-attach it. Now I have some backup batteries as well.

Where the black wire was connected to the battery connector broke off. I'm guessing it was squeezed on too tight where they make them. No fault of Alembic. I crudely soldered the wire in place. It'll have to get changed out eventually. The lights go on now. See attached.

Good to see you got them working!

Yes, glad they are up and running well. Those are the best connectors we can find, but I haven't had a failure like this before. I miss the old ones made of fish paper. They were discontinued when the manufacturer moved and they couldn't get a permit to do part of the process in the new building, even though I think it was in the same county.
