Just had to share this from facebook. And we thought it was United who breaks guitars.

Well it IS a bolt-on neck… could be repairable.
OR
Send it to Gregory - bit of wood glue and proper clamping.   I’ve seen him repair bad stuff on the regular.
Bonus!  Strings were protected from rattling on the frets.

Serious mechanical force was in play there.  😳

The newspaper stuffed in the case to help support the neck certainly wasn't up to the task at hand.

As a former forklift driver, I'm going to go ahead & say BeenDown may be right; those suckers - even the smaller ones - weigh a good sight more than a full-sized SUV.
But I would expect a wide flat wheel track in the case at the bend.  And while they're both heavy and powerful, I'm not sure one could actually roll over something that thick; wheels are too small, it would probably just push it.
I think it more likely that it was sticking out the front of the pallet (where the driver couldn't see it) and when he couldn't get the pallet where he wanted it, rather than get off & see why he just backed up, got a running start, and rammed it in.
Saw that kind of thing on loading docks all the time (especially non-Teamster* docks).
Though I have not yet figured out how either of those scenarios could have left the sharp-v bend at the neck joint and the crushed corner.
Just glad it wasn't an Alembic.......

Peter (*who, in the interest of full disclosure, does get a fair part of his income from a Teamster's Local 705 pension - which of course has nothing to do with his slagging on scab dockhands......)

Holy cow.
To do that to a case with an instrument inside is an impressive task.
Never seen anything like that before.  Thought I was scared to ship before.  Yikes.
Hydraulic aircraft door, forklift, M1abrams, ugh!!?

That would be a hell of a project for Edofhuncote!
