Up for sale (or possible trade) is my 1985 Alembic Spoiler Fretless bass guitar with a gorgeous zebrawood top and its original hard shell case.
· Near mint condition – only a touch of finish wear near one strap button
· Natural patina on bridge/tailpiece gives it that classic satin look
· All-original to my knowledge except for Schaller strap-lock buttons (rear cavity plate may be plastic vs. brass, but looks stock)
· Fresh D’Addario Chrome flats, zero wear on the fingerboard
· Plays and functions perfectly – smooth electronics, classic Alembic tone
· Studio use only, never gigged
I’m the second owner and this bass has been babied. If you know Alembic, you know what you’re looking at — hand-built California craftsmanship, premium tonewoods, and timeless sound.
Trades: Would consider the right 5- or 6-string bass or partial trades + cash. I mainly play 5-strings, so this one doesn’t get the love it deserves.
