Wow. Here's something you don't see every day:
https://reverb.com/item/91576112-alembic-series-ii-2-fretless-bass-guitar
Quite a looker and looks to be in good shape for a 40yo instrument.

Wow, just a month after this one

But at about a 40% higher asking price...

I saw this on Reverb yesterday when I checked the sold listings. It showed as being sold by the guy in Colorado a few days ago, it was re-listed by another seller for a little less than $3,000 and labeled sold but clicking on it showed the listing was pulled, not sold. Neither of those transactions showed up today when I searched for sold listings. Could just be something weird with Reverb but proceed cautiously if you are interested in the bass. If the seller has the bass they should be able to provide more photos that aren't shown already on Reverb. Nice looking Series II...

Seriously beautiful.

from the seller:
Don't want to sell her but will if the price is right.
okey-dokey
dude's got an interesting collection of BCR's for sale. wasn't this guy involved in another high-end alembic transaction not too long ago? i dunno. can't tell from his revrb history. nice bass, kinda plain-jane for an SII, note no inlaid logo or ebony neck lams. as before, not enuff strings for me at $7k definitely not at $11k USD.
good luck to all!

The seller is Tim, the moderator for the Facebook BC Rich club.

I just bought the DS-5 from him

Looks like the price just dropped $1,000.00.

Its mine, bought her on a whim, have had a rough year with my pup, few things popped up including a build I wasn't expecting until years end. GC only has a 72hr period on vintage so..... people like to nickle and dime, I'm open to offers, reverb fees on a pricey instrument are $$$$ (as are taxes for the buyer), don't get on here often, you can find me on Talkbass @9C1NY
