Bad Company, Mott the Hoople

Bad Company was a great rock band, and his guitar playing and song writing helped make it so.

Me, Brian May, and Joe Elliott are all huge Mott the Hoople fans.  Foppish and occasionally silly from those Glam Rock days, Ian Hunter's songwriting along with Ralphs on lead and the late Overlend Watts on white Thunderbird was an antidote for me for Southern R+B, blues, all that BBQ music, and to my mind a precursor to Queen and the other English bands who were solid past Glam.  Was a great move for him into Bad Company, a bigger and much longer lasting gig.
