Fellow Alembicians, this might be a long shot but I would like to see if anybody here would be interested in trading my Alembic Series I four string medium scale for preferably a 6 String or possibly 5 String Alembic. I am mostly interested in another Series but might even consider a non-series Alembic + cash (I will be rather picky there though). So maybe any Series 6/5 string owners would like to relieve their shoulders and back and trade towards a lighter weight 4 string medium scale? ;-) Depending on the bass I could add some cash on top. Since I am located in Germany it would have to be in Europe and I am willing to travel and meet for the right bass.
As for this Series I: its from 1977 but has been at Alembic for a complete refinish and upgrade of the electronics with new pick ups in 2013. Since then it has only been pampered and the condition is like new. Hence its dead quiet and everything works flawlessly. No marks or bruises, nothing. It has the case, power supply, two stereo cables and case candy. Shedua top and back, mahogany core, maple/purpleheart neck, ebony board, medium scale, weight is 4,9 kilogramms.
If anyone is interested in a straight sale, I might entertain that as well so feel free to make me a sensible offer. But please keep in mind the condition and upgrades of this bass.
