Title: Nic's Post on String and Pickup Physics and the 6KHz Filter Limit
Post by: David Houck on June 25, 2005, 06:17:51 AM
In response to a question about why the low pass filters on Alembic basses have a top end limit of 6KHz, Nic discusses string vibration, pickup placement, pickup electrical response, and Q switch boost.  It's a really nice explanation of the significance of the 6KHz limit; and it can be found here (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=3224).

Further down that same thread Nic has a nice historical post (http://club.alembic.com/Images/393/19319.html?1119689541#post40942).  And then a little further down from there, Bob has a detailed response (http://club.alembic.com/Images/393/19319.html?1119689541#post40991) to Nic's first post delving deeper into the topic.
