Mica,
For years I used an Ampeg SVT as do may others for that harmonically rich, warm tube sound. Last year I bought a discontinued Sunn 300T(now Fender Bassman), which for my purposes works every bit as good as the Ampeg. There are other tube amps (Mesa Boogie, Eden and Aguilar come to mind), some are outrageously expensive. If you could make an all tube Alembic bass amplifier for under $2000, there's a good chance you could unseat Ampeg as the standard. You could also offer a tube preamp/solid state power amp combo as an option for those who need the extra power. I'm ready to order!

Definately,
I'm in, I would buy an all tube Alembic and use my SVT and 300T as coffee tables(just kidding). How about some speaker cabs while your at it!!
Great Idea Gale,

It ain't tubes, but IMO Ron's ideas on amplification and cabinetry are embodied in the Bag End ELF system. Manufacture of high power tube amps and speaker cabinets would require two new production facilities, which I'm pretty sure are not in the cards.

hey if you like tube amps try matamp!

IMHO
I am a firm believer in the best of breed approach to shopping. No one company makes the best of everything - and those manufacturers that try to do this, tend to fail miserably and end up with a production line of half ass middle of the road products. I would rather see Alembic stay out of other product lines if there is even the slightest chance that it would compromise the mainstay of their operation - basses.
As far as the Bag End ELF products - I am a big fan (though it is no longer called ELF). I had asked Mica about this about a year ago - wondering if Ron planned on releasing an Alembic version of this product - however did not receive a reply.
