Hi,
Looking for a small box power supply. Please let me know if you have one that you’re willing to part with. Thanks in advance. Rod (415)518-8412 roderic@me.com

Interesting, a DS-6? Did I miss the memo? As in 6-pin XLR? Just curious.

DS-6 was mentioned by Mica a couple of years ago, but I don't think they made one yet..
IIrc rackmount ps with two 5 pin inputs.

There you go, I DID miss the memo. But the -6 would not be a "small box" power supply then?
Hey Rod, is this a replacement you're looking for or did you happen on a Series bass without its PSU? We like pics in here (hint hint).

THANKS GUYS- I amended the original post to be more accurate in terms of what I’m looking for.
To answer your question-
Way back when, my bass came from the shop with the rackmount power supply. Now that I’m old(er), I don’t want to have to carry around a rack…So leave the rack in the studio and find a small power supply to grab and go.
The bass in question here is Autumn’s Delight- custom bass of the month November 2002. (See it in the Featured Custom archive.) More recently, I had the bass switched into an extremely badass “BEAD” bass. Alembic made a custom bridge and nut set for the transmutation. I’m playing it a lot more now- f’n fantastic bass…. If you’d like to know/see more i can move this discussion to a different forum.

Would I be right in thinking I saw your bass at Alembic in August 2023?

Rob,
Thanks for the story. That is a lovely looking bass and we're glad to hear you're enjoying it in its new LOW mode.
So it sounds like you're looking for a DS-5 and not the illusive rack-mounted, double-input DS-6 Mica mentioned in that thread (10 years ago - maybe I did see that but already forgot). The DS-5 is still in production so you could call HQ and see if they have any in stock, or get on the list for one. Or maybe somebody will chime in here with one that needs a new home.
Carry on and enjoy those low notes!

Hey Jazzyvee,
Yes! That would be my bass.

If I recall correctly it was surprisingly heavy.

I've answered Rod's email from yesterday. For anyone else wondering DS-5 power supplies are backordered about a month now as we are waiting for the transformers.
But it's no surprise his bass is heavy... very meaty Ebony neck laminates.
