another one popped up!  Priced pretty high, but then again, new one cost way more  ;D

Pretty awesome spec, very nice walnut top, the neck laminate has two strips of thick ebony, I bet it sounds huge!
It was made for 35th Anniv. of one of the shop in Japan (Ikebe), it is engrave on the truss rod cover, pretty ironic it's being sold at their main competitor as second hand instrument ;D ;D

The usual:  not affiliated, but Ishibashi is a legit good shop.

Agreed.  There is something about a Heart Omega that I really like.

From the pictures, it doesn’t seem like this bass has a pickup selector switch. Is that something that could be installed fairly easy? Also, will a DS-5 sent to Japan work in the U.S.?

That is odd... I wonder if it isn't inside the electronics cavity? I suppose you could simply select the pickup by using the Volume of whichever pickup was desired. There is a Master Volume to sort of simulate the standby position of the selector switch.

I dunno. That's a good one.

No p/u selector is highly unusual.  Nice tailpiece though. 8)

I thought about it for a while... simply because I have a Series II equipped bass somewhere in the pipeline. It already had the Master Volume in addition to the Series I electronics, and I remember using it quite a bit. A selector switch isn't a necessity for me, as almost 100% of the time, I play with both pickups on, and mix them a little with the volume knobs. About the only time that switch gets used is at set break; I alway switch it to standby before unplugging... just a habit. I can see where absence of the switch might corrupt someone else's groove. I envy these guys that can make those lightning fast adjustments in the middle of songs without missing a note. I'm kinda' set-it-and-forget-it. If I know the next tune requires a little bit more presence, I might dial-in a little more bridge pickup or open the filters a bit before the intro.

That's a really pretty bass. The shop who ordered these builds had exquisite taste.
