Oops, I did it again! I bought it, yes I did. Curious about its history.

Welcome to the club Ben and stepping in with that bass is a great introduction. 🥳🤩🎶

Ben, welcome to the camp!
Nice bass.

Welcome in Ben! That is a beautiful bass and I'm envious!

Hey all, Thanks for your warm welcome. What an amazing instrument; what a fine crowd of people!

Is it your first Alembic?

Congrats on your new bass!!!
It doesn't look too "customized" done in unusual way, looks like beautiful cocobolo top-back, continuous wood back covers, inlayed shell logo, and side LEDs.
But man, it sure is pretty!!

Yes, finally made it here. I've been quite happy with Serek basses, but I wanted a position for my picking hand where the bridge was further up the body than what most basses provide; wanted more support on my forearm. That pushes the neck out where it's hard to reach which leads to the need for a short scale length. This bass uses a maple neck-through design with ebony fretboard to brighten up the tone. The active pickups sound great and the Chebychev filter is tastefully done. Add it all up and it's worth the price of admission. I've had it for about a week and it's already affecting how I play.

First alembic is a momemtous occasion. I think once you really get to grips with the filters their sound greatness becomes more apparent..

Since I got mine, I have been experiencing the same thing. It's also now very difficult to play anything else.
