Title: Happy Thanksgiving!
Post by: mica on November 28, 2024, 12:19:48 AM
I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving. I hope that families and friends will gather today and share a fine feast, with fine company and  grateful hearts. Keep positive and share your love for one another.

In the shop this morning working on a Guild guitar, I should have finished up yesterday. Baking a pie, then headed over to my friends, and musical family the McAllisters for Thanksgiving. Traditionally, we play music for a couple hours afterwards.

Hope everyone enjoyed a most excellent Thanksgiving!  Just now coming up for air after our traditional T-Day:  Chicken Pesto lasagna, my grandma’s Kasha Varnishkes, brown sugar glazed carrots, Hassleback sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy, and homemade cannolis for desert.  Added some fine weed, settled back, and watched all three Godfathers!

Today I’ll be enjoying a mini gathering as brother Cozmik Cowboy will be in town!

And greatly looking forward to it - even if does mean a day away from the 3 youngest grandkids (otherwise known as "a little rest break.....).

And this has been a banner thanksgiving this year. I mentioned earlier this year my left arm suffered partial paralysis due to arthritis pinching my spine & nerve bundle going to my left arm. Well, last Wednesday, I was talking to Mica and I was explaining to her that I cannot yet reach the neck of my Classico…..as I was standing next to my Classico while reaching the headstock….. it didn’t click until I woke up the next day and lifted my left arm up over my head for the first time since May 3rd!  Ok, I cannot do any useful work with the arm…..yet…..but I’m sure my physical therapist will have a new battery of exercises for me next week…..it’s been an exciting 2 days here.

I can now report that I had a wonderful visit with Bill & Tina!

Peter (who learned about a third possibility he had not even counted upon; ruderalis.  Quite nice, too!)

Interesting.  Obviously we all have different ‘reactions’,  but was there something in particular that made the ruderalis enjoyable for you?
