Post by: edwardofhuncote on October 19, 2024, 04:30:25 AM

Don't want it, don't need it, couldn't afford it if I did, but it's cool... read the ad. (especially you electronics guys...)

A Clean sounding Sunn amp?  That's crazy talk!  That's like saying Jumbo Shrimp, Home Office, Gold Silverware, Graduate Student...  (Had to look up a few of those). :D

That is a profoundly optimistic asking price.

We had more trouble with the brand back in the day, except for the Coliseum series and other transistor amps.

I was mostly just impressed by someone going to that much DIY to restore a 55 year old amp and speaker cabinet. Fincastle, Virginia ain't that big, (maybe a couple-few hundred folks?) and I think I know who this might be. Happened to think about them yesterday evening driving home from a wedding gig, and passed through Fincastle.
