Title: Has anyone mixed neck laminates

hi- am working with val on a custom bass.  
has anyone out there had a neck made using 2 purple heart and 1 ebony laminate?
if so- how does it sound?
val thinks thatif i want that low end punch that will make ones nuts vibrate- that this will work

Val's is that way, but it isn't finished yet.
