Hi Everyone,
Does anybody know when and why the body style was slightly changed on the Distillates. I noticed some of the earlier examples have a smaller top horn. Mid-Eighties models seem to have a more elongated top horn.
I'd be grateful for any info.
Cheers, Andy.

I know the early ones were a bit neck heavy for my taste, even in medium scale.

I believe that it was for better balance. The longer horn provides a little bit higher angle for the headstock when it hangs, where the older model hangs a bit flatter.

It may sound odd but the Distillate I have (89 5 string) looks like a cross between the Spoiler and the SC small standard. The horn is slightly thinner than the Spoiler, the right side very like a Stanley with a more feminen bottom. (ie larger). The medium scale is a breeze to play as are my Spoilers.

any extras, Danno? Are you sure you don't have too many?

One can never have too many my friends! Perhaps Rami has a few lying around. I just picked up a thunderbird. I'm working up another order for Mica.
