Hi, I’m looking to connect my 2004 Stanley Clarke Signature Brown Bass with Anniversary Electronics to two amps. Not sure if this stereo cable which has a 15 foot line from the bass to 2 5 foot cables to the amps is what is needed for what the bass puts out through the jack when the stereo q switch is in the stereo position. Open to any cable suggestions and makers.
Thanks, Todd

Q switches don’t switch between mono and stereo. Rather, the Q switch, either 2-way or 3-way, provides a boost at the cut-off frequency set by the filter. As a guitar player, I am less familiar with the Brown bass than some other members, but I believe, like most other non-Series Alembics, it is a mono instrument. If it was a stereo instrument, with a stereo output jack, the cable you posted would work, though there are less expensive cables and signal splitter junction boxes that do the same thing just as well.
Bill, tgo

Brown Bass, Anniversary electronics should have a stereo-to-mono switch next to the 1/4" jack. It looks like the Q-switches, but is usually shorter to keep it from getting sheared by a cable. (I guess?) Just the same style switch, different function.
I'm not smart enough to help down the line from that, but it shouldn't be too hard finding some device to connect up to two amp inputs. That'll getcha' there.

Hi Bill, thanks for that correction. One too many Qs in my original question! The jack is either mono or stereo out when the switch flipped as Edwardo indicates. I would think a box down the line vs a Y cable that separates and sends the output of each pickup would be Ok either way but for fewer connections and devices, I like the Y cable conceptually.

This cable will work fine for any stereo output jack on an Alembic bass.

Thanks very much Mica!
