Well, it's been almost 2 years, but on August 31st, 2022, I got to meet Mr. Mark King himself, after his show in Yokohama.
Of course, I brought my 2 Alembic posters for him to autograph!
It has been a looooooong time since I got my first poster... I believe it was back in '93, sent postal money order to Alembic and Mica sent me a black one and few other stuff.
(here's old photo of me playing '73 Jazz bass with black poster in the background.... around '94 or so....)
Anyways, I thought I shared with here in the club, but I didn't. I thought I would.

If I remember correctly I remember being in attendance of a LEVEL 42 show where they opened for Tina Turner . Collectively the evening was a stellar musical masterpiece in my recollection at the then newly reopened Fillmore ,in San Francisco in the mid 1980s . I was in the first row at the edge of the stage to watch Mr. Kings technique . Since I was directly across from a wedge vocal monitor when TINA TURNER took the stage later on , at several times I met eye contact with her whilst her singing . I remember her winking at me at one point .THAT was magikal and so electrical .

Mark King makes playing bass look so easy. Glad you got to meet him.
