If any of you tried a wireless amp setup on your series models, you know that only the front pickup works.
I guess it's the wireless (Mine is the LEKADO) has mono connections. Too bad. I wanted to walk around at
the gig like I do with the other types of basses i play. Also, the sound was week with a latency issue.
What are your views?

I think you will find that it is mainly the older series basses that would output only the neck socket. The newer models have both pickups output with a mono jack.
There are some members here who have construct a battery powered power pack for the bass that includes the 5 pin plug and a bass output that can be fed into a wireless transmitter pack. If you do a search using the word Altoids, you should find an example.

Older instruments can easily be converted to allowing both pickups to function while using the 1/4” jack. I had it done to my ‘76 Series I MSG. I always play wireless. I’ve been using the Wic PRA unit for years. I just picked up a Lekato WS-50. I read a lot of positive reviews. It’s a 5.8 Ghz/4 channel wireless that’s on sale on Amazon for $47. Had to try it.

DS-5 mounted on a belt loop, plugged into a really large battery? ;)

Interesting. I just ordered one to try out. I’m a noob with this technology. Is there a stereo version ? I’ll go to uncle Google but thought I’d try here first. I’ve got a NOS Rick-o-Sound breakout box but wireless would be sweet.

I'm not aware of any stereo guitar wireless systems. I imagine you could put together such a beast using two wireless systems running on different channels.

I found a stereo version but at the 2.4 gig frequency. It had a stereo plug at the receiver but you would still need a breakout box to go to two amps.

I have made a short cable that goes from a stereo plug to a mono jack before. I keep it in my Alembic's case in case I'm ever in front of a mono amp without my DS5. It's simple to wire up and you connect both signals to the single mono output with 20k resistors (as specified by Alembic). You can use that between your wireless transmitter and the bass' stereo output jack. Simple thing to do with about $10 of wire, plug/jack, and resistors.

Flip! Let me know if you could hook a black bass brother up with one or 2 of those battery units.
I’d love to go wireless with my series.
