Wow sweet looking bass and rack.
-
The estate has a lot of bass and studio gear up for sale. A friend sent these links to me a couple of weeks ago. That is a nice looking bass!

That's an incredible package!
Anyone have details on that tailpiece?
-
I've seen that same tailpiece on some Oasis basses. They are fine tuners.
-
I seem to remember another '77 custom, a fretless with this same neck layup. Like, years back. I'll have to look for it.
*yeah, here it was. 77-697. A little bit earlier, but the similarity is there.

What? 22G's and NO forklift for the Mac in the rack? Geez . . . . .
-
Not just everybody has a valid forklift operator's card, Joey. Then again, twenty-two thousan' smakeroos won't do what it usta' do either. 😄
Reminded, that I still need to get our little 'toy' Doosan G9 serviced here soon...
~Gregory (who won't be needing his forklift operator's card for much longer...)

Not to oversee the IN-2 in the rackā¦..

I don't think the price is unreasonable considering the whole package. Nice stuff is expensive! Plus Dan was a player and producer of some note. A quick look through the catalog looks like prices seem reasonable. I'm sad I won't be able to talk to Dan again - I knew him since i was a little kid.
-
That's Dan's college education fund right there. He made a decision about where to put his priorities and it appears he made the right choice. I miss Dan, aka mgod in the forums. He was a wonderful human. Anyone who gets this will be getting some real bass history.
He had Phil Lesh's custom fretless Guild which was modified by Rick Turner (those two were thick and thieves). I wonder where that one is going.
