pretty sure it's actually a series I but why quibble? lots cheeper than a spyder these days. make somebody a nice player. pretty sure i'm outta the bass market. something like this coming along almost makes me wanna re-think that decision.. almost.

I would love to own another Exploiter - my first was Alembic was a Spoiler/Exploiter - I also loved the black one on the cover of Stanley Clarke's Find Out! album. But I would need to know that I could use it live, because it's a waste to just have at home - plus, even when I lived in a pretty big house, I would always bump it into door jambs...

Gone.

i'd really be surprised if a player bought it. at that price it's probably either in flipsville only to return with a 2x markup or in somebody's collection never again to see the light of day. imho, of course. ymmv. past results do not indicate future performance and all that rot.

I've already got a '83 Exploiter anyway. ;D

Wasn't that one of the basses that was damaged in a flood along with other ZZ Top instruments? If it is I'd give the electronics and neck a good going over before purchasing ZZ Top provenance or not.
