Looks like the neck has been repaired - confirmed in description:
“The broken neck has been corrected, but it is firmly adhered and there is no problem in use at present.“

that's $3400 USD for a clone with a busted headstock. not sure if i'd give that much for the real deal with a broken neck.

This bass has just been purchased by me. I got a VERY significant discount by the shopkeepers. I will post comparison videos with my 1980 Series 1 as soon as I have time 😆
Initial impressions are that I feel there is more mids than my 80’s Series 1 and the filter sweep feels more aggressive. The action they have lowered it to a point where it feels more like my Series. The bass is actually in worse condition than in the picture. The pickup selector is bent (still works), the hum canceller is not flush with the body and a bit slanted, the bridge pickup has a little crack in it (not too large), the brass hardware is oxidized, the trim pots are very difficult to adjust because the plastic tuning pegs (?) are a but brittle and missing some edges for the screwdriver and one of the back plate screws is not original. I tested the hum canceller and it does cancel the hum.
I eventually bit the bullet and bought it because the price was too good 😆
I want to use this bass on tour as I am afraid to use my Series 1 for touring now 😆

Thanks a lot! My dream Alembic after my 80’s S1 was a 5 string Alembic. I told my wife that my next one would be that and only when I had the money for one. But this one just “popped” out at the music store we were visiting and in to buy strings. Initially I didnt see that bass because I wasnt actively looking for a bass because last year I already purchased a Squier bass VI and an Edwards Bass V. My wife said I used up my quota already for 2024. But while we were at the checkout counter, my wife saw that bass on the other side of the store and said “check out that bass, it looks really cool”. It was then I saw the FAB and I told the store clerk I want to try it. Initially we asked for a discount which the clerk said he is unable to discount. But after trying out the bass for a good 2 hours, they were willing to discount the bass significantly. My wife (non-musician) said she feels the bass sounds very good to her ears and that was what pushed me over the edge 😆
The only thing I am worried about is un-cancellable noise when I take this bass on tour 🤔
