Nice shape, you know the inspiration for it.

well the price is right.  had it a B string it might jsut be hanging out at the house o'BeenDown with her legitmate cousins 'cause the boss just put out the word - the next person that puts a ding on one of the good basses gets to KP the yard.  forever.

sheesh!  can't have anything nice

I bought one of those hoping it would scratch the Alembic itch. It just made it worse, I have a 3 of them, and still ended up getting an Alembic.

Excellent basses. I got real lucky and picked one up about 5 months ago for just under $825 with tax from Reverb. Couldn't pass at that price.

I love these basses. I've owned several and they're wonderful instruments. This one looks beautifully kept. I prefer the rotary pickup selector used on the earlier models. This is the original MRX-204 (2 pole 4 position) switch used by Kawai - it's an easy swap! I've found those switches to be super useful for many applications and they make several others with different pole and position specs.

been looking for a bass to take out clubbing.  which means trying out (*GASP!*) bolt-ons. kinda forgot about the difference.  $1600 for an entry-level neck-through is prolly not too bad imho.   got a deal going on an essence for not a whole lot more $ than this.  A-B'd it with a higher end 1b@nez.  not even close. so i'm pretty sure i just found alembic #15.  and it's not a dragonwing.  i already got 2 basses that can't leave the house, why make it 3?

Here's one that would need some elbow grease... upon closer inspection, it appears as though a previous owner EXTENDED THE FRETBOARD??? Still... you'd have a unique one!
