I got a new filter pot to replace the crackly old one in my Japanese market Distillate. When I took it to the repair guy I've been going to since moving to Tokyo he went into a panic after seeing how the old one was attached to the circuit board and the difference in the pins. He refused to do the replacement. Is there any way to know which pins to solder on the new one if I can find someone here who will do it?

I'll have my dad take a look at this for you over the weekend.

Thank you Mica.

Kudos to the repair person. Some people have a hard time asking questions for clarification. Mr. Know-it-all Complex :o

A wider view.

I'll get dad to give us something you can show a repair person, but he was very surprised it was a challenge for the tech.

Okay. Thank you Mica.

Here's how to map the new terminal layout to the old.

That's great. Thank you Mica. On another note, I had to change the battery on the Distillate guitar and noticed that its internals look more modern than the bass.

The drummer of my band is an electronics hobbyist. We spent the day changing out the pot. It was a success.
