Alembic slogans! I took a short nap after work today and, having a marketing background, started thinking of fun Alembic slogans as I woke up!
Here's mine, what's yours???
'Alembic basses; One churning urn of burning funk!'
(you know where this one came from)

Alembic: It's Not Just Basses!
hehehehe
Bill, tgo

Alembic, home is in your hands.
Bill…. c’mon man. 😂
-
"Mine's Alembic, what's your super power?"
-
The original, and still the best hippie sandwich...
-
Alembic. Heavy, man.
-
Um....has anyone considered "Beyond custom"? (nyuk nyuk)

Alembic: Don't touch my bass.

"Alembic, not sitting still"
With photo of the logo and some new product pics.

Alembics aren't for everyone.
But . . . IF you 'get it', there is nothing, and I repeat NOTHING like an Alembic.
Period.
-
“Olympic, if you have one you are winning!”

I'm no good at things like this at all, (I could pile-on with a clever pun...) but the thread has made me wonder if, given the creative/imaginative/artistic leanings of Alembic Mgt. have they ever needed or availed the company of any outside marketing?
Like those famous Volkswagen ads, that had a full-page picture of a car, and one or two bold words... the product really sells itself. If you already know what it is, then you only have to spec one out and have them build it. There's actually a lot more choices now than ever before. The only reason I have this picture is, the bass pictured is the serial number immediately following my Custom. The ad copy though, makes the same statement... logo, model, product.

Alembic…Join the family!

I remember those VW ads where they compared the bug to the Roman arch! Boy I must be getting old!
-
I must be getting older; I don't recall that one.
But I do recall the one where drove a bug into water - and it floated (though they never said for how long....)

As Woody Allen showed us in Sleeper, at least for 100 years!
I also don’t remember the VW “Lemon” ad, but I can prove my elder status by admitting I remember them being advertised at $1999. Boy, have times changed!

And gas was $.35 - $.65/gallon

And gas was $.35 - $.65/gallon
Latest issue of the AARP magazine notes that in 1958, gasoline averaged 38¢/gallon - which, adjusted to 2023 dollars, would be $3.28
And that new 1958 Les Paul for $265 equated to $2822.29 (still not a bad investment, going for north of $300K now; about 10X inflation.....)
But Bill's $1999 Bug would only be $21,289.63 - a steal!
Peter (who clearly recalls stamping 5 lb bags of sugar for 65¢ in his teen days as a stock clerk/bagboy)

If you want to see cars that float just watch some videos of the tsunami that hit japan.
-
Betcha can't have just one!

Alembic, everything today came after that.
