Listing says 1999 but the build card is from 1984. Looks like it had the web inlays added. Too bad about the ding on the headstock. This is too early for a Spyder.....its an Exploiter.
If it was a Spyder, I'd be all over this one:

$6500 opening bid. nice top. looks like it's been rode hard and put up wet. not doing another medium scale. ever. another ebay pokemon and toy seller with a high end bass for sale. that last sale like this i was watching kinda ended poorly, i think. might be interesting to pull up a chair and watch the fun. again. and again.

I don't think those webs are inlays - it says custom pinstripes. The webs just don't _quite_ look like inlays to me. There's a lot going on with the peghead. What happened to the logo? Looks like plenty of room on end, but something def happened out there. One wonders!

On the Spoiler Exploiter, didn't the headstock veneer face usually match the top wood? This one isn't in focus enough to see any detail clearly on my little screen, but looks like the maple layer is either sanded through to the next, or overlaid.

well ya know all the pictures that matter are somehow outta focus. i used to run an engraving shop before i retired. i made lotsa commercial vinyl decals on a laser engraver. it's not rocket surgery. i shoulda known 🗿

Since about 1978/9 not only did the facing veneers on the peghead match the body, the back usually matched the front. Of course many customs have the woods all shuffled around.
