Thinking of having my Orion D-fretted. What are the pros, cons, and cost?(http://club.alembic.com/Images/393/776.jpg)

We approach everything from a manufacturing perspective, and we would replace the fingerboard. You can choose lined or unlined, and the side dots will be in the right place. This procedure is $480 and takes a good 3-4 weeks, since it usually requires at least some touch up finish work along the edge of the neck.

There are repairmen with experience at removing the frets and filling the slots in the existing board, but that's not our area of expertise.
