John Entwhisle has died in Las vegas, my heart felt condolences go out to all the people at Alembic, I know he was part of the family
-
We're all feeling sad and bit weird - it doesn't seem real at all, especially since we were going to see The Who next Wednesday.
When I get home, I'm dragging out the old record player to spin my Too Late the Hero album and listen to those blessed fingers.

Rest in Peace Ox, thanks for years of inspiration.

RIP, Ox...I just heard and am crying so hard I can barely type...

People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Just because we get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I hope I die before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
He had such a great tone and played great riffs.
RIP
Harald

Mind-numbing.... My heart goes out to his family and friends, the band, his fans....
He gave us all so much, propelled bass way ahead....
-
I heard the news at 7.30 this morning and spent a good half-hour sitting open mouthed. He was the reason why I (and many thousands more) took up the bass - especially the performance of 'Won't Get Fooled Again' on 'The Kids are Alright' film.
I've just watched it again, and tied a black ribbon behind the nut on my Series II. So very sad...
RIP John and God bless
