Interesting Alembic Custom on Reverb.
I have not seen this one before so I thought I'd post it. No affiliation.

Yeah, that's a weird one. I think the same guy must have sold a collection of Custom Alembic guitars... rv_bass got the burl maple 'Lotus Flower' one, and flavofive got the walnut Series I Omega. There was at least one more wild Custom in the herd too.
The only thing I find off-putting is the small headstock. It just looks oddly too small. I like everything else about this guitar. That's why they call it Custom though... somebody else thought it was 'just right'.

You don't see too many Alembics with maple fret-boards.

No sir, just a handful. And I bet fewer still with wood inlays. It was something I had pondered for my Brown Guitar idea, only lighter wood inlays, into a rosewood fingerboard. The traditionalist element of me won that argument though.
I will say this; one of my favorite Alembic sounds is the STR neck pickup of my Darling guitar solo'd, with the bright switch engaged, and the filter about 40-45% open... this bad-girl has THREE of them. I think (what I like) has a lot to do with the location of the pickup, but still, that's a pretty cool sound.
Yep, that's a really sweet guitar. Again though, if I'm going that far outta' the box, and putting that much in it, I'm just getting Mica's folks to build me exactly 'the thing'.
