I had a question for those of you who use these components:
Currently when running to the board, I use my SF-2 through the F-1X effects loop and go to the board via the XLR out. Can you, or is it prudent to, send the signal from the SF-2 outputs directly to the board?
Thanks for your responses,
Bones

Scott...sorry, as I missed this post. I spoke to Mica about using an SF-2 as a pre, and she did not recommend it, as the sound is just too brittle. Best to run it as you are and take the tone out from the F1-X. Unbeatable in a live situation, but be wary...going to the board should be a flat as possible signal with adjustments to the board mix to be recommended by the engineers. Whether in a recording or live situation, the engineer has a whole different kettle of fish to deal with. By using the F1-X signal, you can send it to the board post EQ, which I have found always preferrable, as does the engineer.
