Like the title says, here's one that's a bit different.   If there was a rock band in Lord of the Rings, the bass player would be playing this one.

That looks similar to moongerm's Bird of prey bass.

amen to that.  got the pretty much the same setup on mine and the sound i get from hitting the open strings is massive
