Title: Nut heightening screws
Post by: pauld on April 19, 2023, 05:11:20 AM
I'm looking for two nut heightening screws to replace the ones that were missing from my 1992 Spoiler when I purchased it. In the absence of these screws, the "lock down" screw was used to fix the nut to the neck and I would like to restore the original height adjustment capability.

Hi Paul.
I did not see any nut screws in the Alembic store.  Communicating directly with them may reveal options.

Alternatively if you remove the one screw and head to a local hardware store they should be able to match it.

Good luck.

Actually, the lock-down screw is the odd one out as it has a tiny head on it - which may be machined down at the factory.  The two outside screws only push the nut up so they look like below (not sure the point is a stock thing or also machined in-house).  If you need to raise your nut think about just loosening the lock-down screw and shimming it with something very thin, preferably metal.  That could work.
