I think it's probably a Koa top, mahogany core. Electronics are aftermarket stuff, can't tell what does what, but doesn't look like much of the Spoiler parts left. There's a picture of the compartment for someone else with sharp eyes and a bigger screen. It does at least still have Alembic pickups.

Agreed on the koa top. On one of the pickups it looks like the flange may be damaged.

well, well, well. look hwat we have here kids. an overpriced, basically destroyed instrument at a premium price by a 2-sale seller who lives in 33543, FL. i looked that up and ZIP code 33543 is located in central Florida and covers a slightly less than average land area compared to other ZIP codes in the United States.
no nut on the output jack. on pickup has a broken ear. both pickups have both the screw heads on top of the pickup ears, gook luck setting the pickup height. one of the screw head looks stripped out. looks like the logo's still on the headstock but it's hard to tell from the blurry pitcure. looks like the upper bout ran into a ball-peen hammer. a couple of times. i think i see a scorch-mark where it got too close to the blow torch.
this could be entertaining if you were into this sorta thing. i'm just sad. :-(

Yes. It's unfortunate an Alembic in this condition is out there for sale in such poor state. I feel for the potential buyer who would think Alembic's are really like this.

A bit unusual for a Spoiler to have a sustain block. Could be a later mod I guess.
Yeah, it's a rough old bass, but this is how I found my first Alembic. It's totally save-able. You just have to strike a deal.

Yes. And that top sure is pretty - well worthy of a save.
