My basses are almost finished! :-)
Too bad, covid made my financial situation a bit too weak...
So I decided to let go of the Spoiler, I have a fantastic one from '83 so that made this step a bit easier.


Specs are:
Spoiler medium scale bass
1 Option 32"
1 Option Classic neck taper
1 Option Spoiler 3 piece maple neck with 2 walnut pinstripes
1 Option Chambered plain Maple body
1 Option Side LEDs red
1 Option Ebony front of peghead
1 Option Zebrawood back of peghead
1 Option Opaque gloss black finish with clear back of neck and Peghead ALL GLOSS
1 Option Black plastic backplates
1 Option Black Tahitian MOP ovals
1 Option 24K gold plated Bronze Logo & Script and Shell
8 Option Alembic Abalone Rays
1 Option Series II electronics pickups
1 Option Alembic Gotoh Cosmos Black tuners
1 Option 24K Gold Plated plated hardware
1 Option Gold Straplock
1 Option 159 Hardshell Case for U4&5


Its basically a Spoiler 4 string Jason Newsted style with Series II specs (incl hollow body) but without the Purpleheart neck lams (standard new spec Spoiler neck, 3 piece Maple + Walnut veneers)
I don't have a Power Supply with it, if you make an offer keep that in mind (minus +/-500 I guess?)


Will do trades, but need at least Eur 10.000 cash. Bin is Eur 17.500, but don't hesitate to hit we with an offer ;-)

Man, I am sorry to hear about this, Flip... must be really tough after the wait. Like you said though, that '83 is magic, and you have a lot of history with it.


Someone else will have the bass of a lifetime here. A blacked-out Series II Spoiler. What's badder-ass than that? Well, maybe the bass guy it was built for.  8)

Wow, sad news that you are having to give up one of your dream basses. I know you have waited a long time for both of these basses. I hope you find a way to keep them both. 🤞🏾

I'm sorry to hear it, too, BUT if it was a 34" scale I'd do what I could to get it to match the twin of this I own in Excel version.

The Spoiler was finished, but failed final inspection.
So back in spray, but will be finished soon according to Mica :-)


Attached is a pic from last week, there might also be a pic showing it fully assembled. (Mica is checking for that)

Yeah we should try to organise a European Alembic Meet for 2024. Maybe you can persuade Edwin to host it. I would definitely come with at least 1 bass.
