Hello Mica,
The time has come to sell my graphite neck Series bass. If possible I'd like to get a refresher on my bass that i bought new. It is  a graphite neck short scale 4 string. It was back at the "mothership"around 2016... Need that time. Asso what the front an back woods are. I think coco bolo, but unsure. What to have it right when I post the sale ad. Thank you, and it is a sad time to depart with the AWESOME bass I have had for 40+ years. Know it will find a AWESOME home!

Thank you Jon Sharp

I'd love to have a shot at caretaking this one. I love the idea of the early graphites, would prefer short scale, and would love to have an Alembic from my birth-year (1979). I sent you a message through the forum, but if that didn't get to you please send me an email - OJ [at] thedorsons.com

Could you post a couple pictures of the bass? Would love to see what it looks like (just looking and appreciating, not interested in buying) Thanks :)

That's lovely.    Don't sell that bass!

But if you must, I am interested too.    I understand that I am 2nd or more on the list.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for the nice words its pretty. Imagine this...the pics don't do it justice. I haven't played in 3 years. Took it out today and put some Dunlap 65 lemon oil on the fret board. Plugged it in to tune back up. just sounds so good. If you or anyone else wants to email me at;
sharp3x@mac.com  will send some higher def pics.

Here's the details from the build record:

model name: Series I
model number: SBI4G

top: Cocobolo
back: Cocobolo
body: Mahogany
neck: graphite
tuners: Schaller
inlays: mother of pearl
fingerboard: Ebony

This was a custom order for this store. It has 1 other registered owner. In 2016 we refinished the bass, replaced the strap pins, pickup selector knob, and humcanceller. No RF upgrade performed.
