Title: [SOLD] DS-5R
Post by: JimmyJ on January 31, 2023, 01:49:08 PM
Hey friends,

Any club members need one of these?  Apparently at one time I had made a small rig with it because I drilled several holes in the top panel...   :o  I likely mounted a DI box, tuner and headphone amp on it.  A nod to my function-over-form style, with apologies to the non-modifiers among us.

Luckily I didn't hack up the electronics so other than my nasty drill work it's a low-mileage box in solid working condition.  And I mean SOLID!  This thing is built like a tank.  It may be a small case but it's heavy gauge steel made to last forever in tough touring conditions.

I'm not sure messaging is working in here for me (you can try it) but if you're interested or have questions just post a reply here and we'll figure out a way to reach each other.

Thanks!
Jimmy J

Wow, looks to be in great shape!  The cluster of drill holes in the center reminds me of the constellation Capricorn :)

Yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to do, sure.  :D

This might be heading to OJ in Chicago since he jumped in so fast.  I'll confirm one way or another.

Thanks all.

For those who are interested in the cosmos, there will be a green comet visible near the North Star (Polaris) tonight and tomorrow.  It hasn’t passed this close to earth in 50,000 years. Best visible after moonset on Feb 1 & 2  :)

Thanks for the heads up Rob.   Wish I was in the Northwoods right now on The Hill with minimal light pollution.

OK, it's on its way to OJ in Chicago so the mods can mark this as [SOLD].

Thanks all, that was easy!
