I guess it's here...
What are you all going to do with it?
I've been thinking about it off and on all week. The last few years have made me reluctant to make hard plans, but make decisions that allow for more flexible results.
I know I sure would like to get back to playing some music. That means a surgery that I just plain don't wanna' deal with right now. I'm looking forward to watching my trainees graduate to replace me. I hope the girl in the pink floppy hat comes to visit again, and bakes brownies. Fix a car I wrecked, sell it, and buy another one I like better.
See, any of those could go either way, and I'd be okay with it. I haven't resolved much of anything. Maybe next year.

Same as last year: coffee in the morning, and then see what happens next.
Best wishes for a Wonderful New Year to all!

Haha! Happy New Year!
Over the last 50 years I missed gigging very few NY’s, literally only a handful up until 2020.
But I’m home with the family tonight for a good reason. My last minute NY’s gig was …last night!
Yep, they changed it to the 30th as they did not have enough staff tonight.
Sold two basses, two amps this year.
Bought an electric guitar and 5 watt tube amp, a flute, and a 1/8th violin for my 2 year old granddaughter.
Who knows what 2023 will bring, or take. Hope it is all good.
Cheers from Canada

Over the last 50 years I missed gigging very few NY’s, literally only a handful up until 2020.
I used to work for a band that would not gig New year's Eve or St. Patrick's Day (AKA "Amateur Drunk Night I & II).

We’re staying in tonight. After 24 hours of steady rain, it’s cleared up and we can see across the Bay to San Francisco, so we’ll watch the fireworks. It’s been an eventful year capping off three years of masks, inflation, crazy politics, and general insanity. Throughout, this little corner of the cyber world has been an oasis of friendship, peace, humor and, of course, music! Wishing all a most healthy and happy 2023! And a special wish to our gracious hosts, the clan Wickersham.

Played out last night, got a real hand cramp for some reason. Then my shoulder hurt today. Geeez, getting older...
Oh, and had a wonderful food hangover. Didn't know this was possible.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year filled with health, music and joy!

To quote Tom T Hall,
Faster Horses
Older Whiskey
Younger Women and
More Money
Actually, I'm way too happily married for #3, I don't drink, so that 86's #2, I'm at the age where I actually need SLOWER horses. I will take more money.
Damn, nothing ever works out like you hoped it would.
So I'll simply count my blessings and be very thankful, as I am a very lucky man in the ways I'd always hoped to be, and hope this New Year will be as good for all of you.
All the Best,
JW
