Title: Hey-yo from Ohio!
Post by: JHowell74 on December 24, 2022, 04:41:26 AM
It's been a long time coming but I've finally joined the Alembic fam! Absolutely amazed with this Epic. I never thought I'd ever find another bass that could replace my Sandberg jazz...my Warrior couldn't do it...my Warwick couldn't do it...then i saw this on Reverb and it just spoke to me. Not sure what it is but there is just something about it this Epic just makes me to not want to put it down.

Will hello Jamie, and welcome to the club!   There’s lots of great Alembic info and the nicest people you’ll ever find on the net hanging around here.   That’s quite a pretty bass you got there.   Enjoy your Alembic, but I should warn you … they tend to be addictive!

Bill, tgo (the guitar one)

Nice! I love the walnut top. I have the same electronics on my Orion. Absolutely love the sound.

Welcome.  That is some serious walnut!

Where in Ohio, if I may inquire?

South Eastern Ohio. I'm essentially in the middle of nowhere. Lol.

OK, now you need to be more specific; I'm from New Concord.

Peter (who apologizes for the delay)

Didn't Mr. Young write a song about that place?

I live near Marietta. Sleepy town called Sardis(Monroe county). My oldest sister attended college at Muskingum and e stayed at the Garland hotel this summer for a baseball tourney that was over in Zanesville. Small world. Lol.

Yeah, I've been to Sardis.

My dad graduated from Muskingum a month or 2 after I was born, and taught chemistry there for 36 years; '57-'93.

Peter (who also attended for 3 semesters between stints at another school - and has, in fact, stayed at the Garland a couple times in the last few years)
