Title: Did Alembic Change Tailpiece Design on Furthers and Tributes?
Post by: lbpesq on November 03, 2022, 10:52:57 AM
In looking at the Further brother Cowboy posted in the CME collection on another thread, I noticed the tailpiece was different than the one on my Further.   Mine has a bird style tailpiece, while the one at CME has more of a curved bar tailpiece.  Looking at the Custom Archive, I see both Furthers and Tributes with these two different style tailpieces.   So what’s the story?   Is this a consistent change or are there other reasons for the differences?   Inquiring minds want to know!  (or at least I’m curious).

Bird is standard - some people like the curved bar style... custom y'know ;)

One difference is that we can't do a compound tailpiece (wood shim) with plated hardware anymore, those have to be solid brass now.
