There's that poor thing again. I actually found a very old Showcase Thread on this very bass the other day while looking for something else.

Nah, not the same one, but somebody did kinda' the same thing... added a second pickup to an export model Distillate. https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=9118.0

If it was local and not $3K, I'd like to restore it.

I would be interested in what the tonal palette is with that pickup configuration.

I do feel like we have seen this one before, with that mirror-image brass plate on the upper part of the body.

I think this might be the third time. It was on ebay first, a couple years ago.
