Title: Distillate Guitar on Reverb
Post by: edwardofhuncote on September 24, 2022, 08:43:24 AM
This guy has a massive cool collection of guitars. Every so often he sells a couple. There aren't too many of these. I missed a shot at a modded one a few years ago and still ain't got over it. Dangit. Anyway, this one looks to be in good shape, un-messed-with.

Yeah, that's more than 2× the price of the one that got away from me. I doubt if it will actually fetch that. Still a very cool, seldom seen Alembic.

Anyone got a guess-timate of how many export Distillates there are/were? Maybe a couple-three hundred? This one is numbered 81-0088.

They are not "going" for anything until they are sold and gone. Very easy to put stuff up on line that is overpriced. Once you buy an instrument it isn't "worth" anything until you sell it again, potential/perceived value and actual selling price can be quite quite different. Perhaps you saw the $3,000 listing for a used F1-X that was posted on Reverb today? How quickly do you expect that to get snatched up? Cool guitar, though... thankfully looking at pictures is free.
